Computer Aided Design / Machine Design

     Carrara Mechanical utilizes a Computer Aided Design software to create 2D & 3D prints. Machine Design is the accumulation of all sciences integrated to accomplish and engineering objective.  Through physics, geometry, material science and mechanics these steps are refined from an "idea" to an actual mechanism.

      We specialize in designing and building custom designed machines to fit your advanced manufacturing requirements.

Fabrication

     Carrara Mechanical will manufacture production runs from a single "one off" prototype to quantity production runs of machines or parts. We offer:

  • CNC Plasma Cutting with CAD Generated Cut Paths

  • Manual Machining

  • SMAW, GTAW & GMAW Welding Styles

  • Oxy-Acetylene Cutting

  • Custom Metal Work

Patent Management

 Carrara Mechanical specializes in all areas of patent management and is willing to adhere to all confidentially agreements.  We consult with Patent Lawyers to determine if the idea is patentable and feasible.  If a patent idea needs refinement, we have the experience to refine the design to optimize the performance of a drawing to maximize the potential for obtaining a patent and reducing the chance for patent rejection from the U.S. Patent Office.  We work with the Patent Lawyers to depict the device with drawings and text to establish a solid patent. To date Carrara Mechanical has not experienced a patent rejection for any client who has utilized Carrara Mechanical's Design Refinement Services.

 

 

 

In addition to Design Refinement we also offer:

 

Prototyping Creation & Testing - Here we take your design and create the actual part or mechanism.  We run real world tests to determine proper function.

 

Rapid Prototyping - Despite the life like representation of 3D CAD solid models, there are intangibles in designs that cannot be conveyed through a computer monitor.  Utilizing ABS plastic, we have the availability to take your "idea" and convert it into a "real part".

 

Manufacturing Support, Vendor Search & Component Pricing - Here we contact manufacturing vendors to have each part produced to strict specification and follow pricing requirements.

 

Documentation Portfolios - We take every part, apply a number, make a "blue print" for manufacturing, including into the portfolio vendor information, component costs, and a manufacturing timeline.
